Oh dear we have had week of real poorliness in school as you’ll see from the attendance figures. Let’s hope everyone gets well soon.
Some of the things that have been happening around school this week that I have noticed:
Speed Stacking in Year 3
A strange looking sticky glittery mess and unexplained footprints in Diamond class
Fruit tasting in Year 4
Year 2 writing puppet performances for Diamond class
A fabulous balloon building challenge in year 5.
School is such a busy place and I know you will have seen lots more on your individual class pages.
You will have had information about the Busters Book Club that Mr Finn has set up . I understand there was some confusion over what was printed on the book marks and what Mr Finns letter said but I think that has all been cleared up now. Should you have any questions at all I am sure Mr Finn will be happy to answer them.
I think we’ve cracked the beginning of the school day now so thank you for all your support. It has been good to get your positive feedback too. The children are certainly much more settled at the start of the day, and of course are safer too.
Next week is National Safer Internet Week. We will obviously be covering aspects of this in school at an age appropriate level. It would be good to follow this up at home and the following site has some good ideas to help you https://www.saferinternet.org.uk
Can I ask again that if you do wish to see a teacher that you make an appointment to do so, or go via the school office. We do really try to see any parent that has a concern within 24 hours but due to other in school commitments are not always available immediately.
Don’t forget Mrs Richardson holds a “come and chat if you’ve got an SEN related worry” on a Wednesday afternoon from 2.30pm. No appointment needed for that one just come in via the office.
So those attendance figures…
Jet class must have really robust immune systems!!
Have a happy safe and warm weekend everyone
