Thursday 30th June - Our trip to London to see Shrek The Musical.
Today was AMAZING! Class 11 and 12 went to London on our School Trip. The coach journey was about two hours! We drove over Tower Bridge and went past the Tower of London. The journey was very long, but it was funny.
First we were dropped off at the Victoria Embankment. We had a group photo and saw the River Thames. Anya accidentally dropped her water bottle in it! We saw the Horse Guards Parade. I thought the helmets had spaghetti on them! There were loads of horses, with men in fancy uniforms on them.
After that we went to Saint James' Park where we saw a couple of squirrels, a pelican, some ducks, and ducklings. We walked to the top of the park and saw Buckingham palace. We also saw the changing of the guard.
Next, we had lunch. A pigeon swooped down and stole Natasha's sausage roll! She was rather annoyed...

Lunch was followed by a walk down The Mall. Also, we went to Trafalgar square. There was a huge fountain that sprayed water at us. We all got soaked!
We also went to Covent Garden. There were street entertainers there. Karl got chosen to go and join in. There was Karl and three other people, and the entertainer walked over them on his hands. WOW! It was really good!
After watching the entertainers, we walked to the Theatre Royal, down Drury Lane to our final destination, Shrek the Musical. It was the best show I have ever seen in my whole life!
We were sitting in the Grand Circle. Probably the best seats there! It was just magical! I was absolutely mesmerized!
Lord Farquad was hilarious because they made him small by making the man that played him kneel down. At the end, there was a man dancing in the front row of seats. My row started to join in and copy him. We were just laughing our heads off!
On the way out of the theatre we saw a picture of Shrek made out of Jelly Beans, which was really clever.
Finally we walked back to the coach and it was time for a long two hour journey home. It was about 8:30pm by the time we arrived back at school. It was a GREAT day and I'm so glad I went!
