Wreckers by Tracy Moore.
Tracy Moore from Elham has written a book on Wreckers. Also she recently visited our school, did a little presentation and sold books at the end of school while signing them. Her book is about a boy called Chris who finds a chest and a key. There was nothing in the chest and he was a little disappointed but it all looks up for him when he finds a map. He has a horse called Fingers.
The chapter about the swing tree is based on her husband, Rob Moore and the chapter with Sophie and Jordan are really her niece and nephew. She is now going on a world trip visiting Australia and New Zealand.
Her book Wreckers has 225 pages with a picture of her and her cat. Her book was published in 2008, 1st September. She did a book signing in Waterstones, Folkestone with Elliana, Anya, Sophie and Jordan giving out leaflets to everyone around at this time of the day. We went through 2,000 leaflets in a day.Tracy Moore's book Wreckers also features her house in the story and the bullet holes are really there!
The book can be purchased through Waterstone's - online or at the Folkestone store.
Report by Elliana Heath.
Tracy Moore came to our school and she talked about her new book Wreckers. She signed our books, which cost £6.99, in our library. In the book there is a boy called Chris and he goes back in time. Chris's mother dies.
Tracy Moore said that she would write another book and come back to our school. The book is really good.
Tracy has now gone on a tour.
