Greatstone Primary School is a Foundation School with twelve classes and three hundred and sixty pupils.
Our well maintained rural school is set in large, open grounds, close to the sandy beach of the south east coast. We are fortunate to have excellent buildings, superb facilities, first class resources and dedicated staff.
We have high expectations of all our children, in all they do and I am proud to say they rarely, or ever, let us down. We try to work closely with parents to endeavour to jointly bring out the best in their children. We never forget that we are dealing with your most precious possessions and hence, we take your trust in us extremely seriously.
Our teaching and support staff are of the highest quality, dedicated, enthusiastic, highly professional and extremely hard working. As a team, I truly believe, we are able to offer and deliver as good an education as you will find anywhere in the country. However, we are certainly not complacent, we are continually searching for ways to succeed further.
Our reputation for delivering a very high standard of education in a friendly, happy, supportive environment gives rise to competition, from families, for places within the school and unfortunately and regrettably, we are unable to enrol all those who have applied.
With governors and parents backing, we set and adhere to values and expectations that we believe our own children should follow and should expect to receive from others. With such comprehensive support both children and staff are able to work in a happy, relaxed and supportive atmosphere where everyone feels valued, safe, unthreatened and hopefully proud and pleased to be part of Greatstone School.
There are a few pages up and running now for your perusal and we hope you enjoy them. As you can appreciate it takes a great deal of time to develop a website and this one is no different, but we will strive to update it as often as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

School Gates: As most of you are well aware the school now has a set of electronically operated security gates to the staff car park. Therefore, could all parents refrain from parking or blocking the entrance. Also, please remember that access to the school is for staff and deliveries only.
If you need to enter the school please use the pedestrian gate at the front which is always unlocked during school hours.

Parent Parking: We would like to take this opportunity to inform parents that the car park waiting area at the end of Baldwin Road has now been completely resurfaced and only awaits some white lining for completion. Therefore, when possible, could the parents that drive their children to school please use this area to park in so as to ease congestion along this busy road.
